What's up these Days!!??? 2021

Ok, stay tuned to this site and the events calendar to see what Ryan Benton is doing next. There are a lot of gigs coming up this Summer of 2021 as we start to slowly pull away from the pandemic! Everybody stay safe, we're almost there!

Currently playing with Mangione & Benton Jazz doing straight ahead jazz and jazzy renditions of soul and pop tunes.

I've also been playing Bass guitar with the Virginia HipNecks and have upcoming gigs and will have more this summer.

And, because a lot of us musicians can't help ourselves, I'm also playing and sitting in a lot on keys and vocals with Form of Expression with the great Fernando Thompson on guitar and vocals. I'll be doing a lot more with this band, mixing some of The Voodoo Blues material with FOE's awesome mix of originals, rock, funk, jazz fusion, etc.

I've also got a few gigs this Spring/Summer with Benton & McKay with my friend and fellow musician Casey McKay on Bass and Vocals. We always have a blast and people seem to love our wide range of tunes covering everything from 80's to country.

As always, watch for impromptu appearances, like the upcoming blues festival with Rule G on May 15.

I hope you'll get to see my son on Sax this Summer too when he gets home from college.
